Hey you Sew Flakes, 🍂🍂  It’s September!  That means, it is “crunch time”. 🍂🍂

Whether it is crunching those fall leaves, or crunching to the whir of your sewing machine, it is definitely September. Attached you will find the September Blocks One and Two.

Block number one – There are two options for this block. The difference between the two are the cutting instructions which affects a couple of the steps of assembly. It was easier to just provide two separate patterns. You can choose which method you prefer and then download that option and follow it along.

Option A is the traditional pattern instructions and works with cutting the triangles and attaching them.

Option B is the same block using the ‘waste factor’ or more commonly known as ‘Stitch and Flip’ method. This is the method I prefer to use. I like how the flying geese turn out better.

The block only looks complicated. It  is a breeze to get through.

Block Number two requires a wee bit of concentration as you cut the pieces before assembling. After that, it goes together pretty easily. Just pay attention to the different ‘Julie’s Notes’ and hopefully it will give you what you need to complete these blocks.

Attached are the PDFs. Here are the links:
